The widow gave her two small copper coins out of love for God. What can you do out of love for God?
Be like Bartimaeus. Ask Jesus for mercy. Ask Him to help you see. And follow Jesus on the way.
Be a good leader. Identify the needs of others, and take initiative and responsibility to address those needs. And be humble.

We are all on a spiritual journey, individually, and as a parish community. Don't look backward, but forward. Let's go from being in maintenance mode to missional mode.
I and about 25 parishioners had an awesome experience last weekend at the Defending the Faith Conference at the Franciscan University of Steubenville. We are going again next year. Mark your calendars. The dates will be Friday, July 26 to Sunday, July 28, 2019. When attending the conference, you can stay in the university dorm rooms, or, at the Super 8 hotel across the street. If you plan on coming and want to stay in the hotel (a tiny bit more expensive, but more comfortable), then I would recommend booking as early as possible to ensure you get a room.

The sins we commit aren't necessarily the biggest problem. Our pride is, and our sins can even help us grow in humility, and therefore holiness.
